Phenolic resins, also known as phenol formaldehyde resins (PF), are synthetic thermosetting resins created by the reaction of phenols with formaldehyde.
These thermosets perform well in most engineering applications such as: hydraulic fluids, oil, glycols, phosphate esters, silicone oils and brake fluids etc.
Phenolic resins demonstrate high dimensional stability and abrasion resistance, and are commonly used in wear-ring applications as fabric resin composites.
