Schmitztechnik, who specialise in the manufacture of Intherm® caps and plugs and associated sheeting and bespoke associated products. These products are supplied into powder coating and dip coating shops, they are re-usable, but consumable components used to mask products during these processes. Importantly, these two processes demand the use of 200°C oven cycles, hence most commodity caps will fail. The components are made from premium Wacker VMQ. The superior compression set offers longer life. The designs revolve around ISO sized holes and bolts, with variants that offer chamfer/weld protection. Designs are colour coded for ease of identification from the bins. Retention bolts can be used to prevent bungs from being dislodged by gas pressure during dip coating. Schmitztecnik also offer customised masking components with bespoke geometry, material or thermal processing to meet specific customer needs. |
